The series was inspired by Andre Kertész’s series “Distortions”. My interpretation centers on the exploration of body dysmorphia, manifested through the distortion of the body using mirror foil. The reflective surface becomes a transformative medium, rendering the body unnatural yet unveiling a beauty in imperfection, embracing the beauty found in the unconventional.
